We are quickly coming up on our 100th Day of School. We have fun rotations planned and encourage everyone to dress up like he or she is 100 years old next Thursday, January 31st.
As we head into the second half of the school year, we are making some changes with homework. You will see a new list of reading words. These should be kept in the Homework Folder as we will work on these two pages through February. They are the words from the flashcards but now shown in sentence form. We will also continue writing but now the students will use their writing journal instead. Please keep this journal in their backpack at all times. They will read their paragraph to the class on Fridays. Please have them practice reading their journal entries to you before Friday. I have also added a page of math homework. You can still access any of the online activities available. If your child has a paper folder from me, please try to purchase a new pocket folder and send it in this Friday. As a reference, your child should be to: *read most of the sentences quickly without sounding out words and with few mistakes. *complete 3-4 sentences with correct capitalization, punctuation, and at least 4 -6 words per sentence independently. *complete most of the math homework independently Comments are closed.
