In case your kids haven't reminded you in the last 5 minutes, tomorrow is Halloween!! They were just a bit excited today. The kids are welcome to wear their costumes or just regular clothes tomorrow. We will have a character parade first thing in the morning. If you would like to stay for the parade, please sign in at the office. Your child can change into regular school clothes after the parade if he or she chooses. We will have special First Grade Halloween rotations but we will not have party. I'm sure everyone will get plenty of yummy treats with their parents in the evening.
Tomorrow is the last day of Red Ribbon Week. All students are encouraged to share School Spirit by wearing our THE Spirit Wear or School Colors - blue, silver, and white.
Tomorrow is Freaky Friday. NO COSTUMES DURING THE SCHOOL DAY! Kids are invited to wear costumes after school during Freaky Friday Carnival. Thank you for signing up for the Parent Conferences. You will see your date and time on the paper in your child's homework folder tomorrow. I look forward to sharing all of the fantastic growth your child has made and how you can help him or her continue to succeed at home.
This week we are working on consonant R blends and narrative writing. We continue with addition and subtraction. We've been doing science and social studies within our own classroom but we begin rotations. Mrs. Sarsilmaz and I will be rotating our classrooms. She will be teaching Social Studies and I will be teaching Science. Speaking of science, please use the Sign Up on the Parents Page for our next Quest in November.
