Dear Families,
The Polar Express “will be arriving” in all First grade classrooms on Tuesday, December 19th @8:00 sharp and will make it to Christmas station by 11:00! We’ve been told that Santa will be making an appearance. (SHHH) Students can wear their pajamas and regular shoes. They may bring a robe, slippers and may bring a favorite stuffed animal for inside the classroom! In First grade, we will be bringing the amazing story to “Life” as we all cruise on the Polar Express and stop at fun stations along the way. In order to make this event very special and magical, every classroom is in need of the following donations:
Parent volunteers are needed... Train Conductor: Each classroom will need ONE parent to be the train conductor and collect tickets as the kids board each part of the train. Plan on wearing a shirt and tie or vest to look like a train conductor and bring a big bell. Parent Photographer: Each classroom could use a parent to photograph each student as they board the train. Hot Cocoa Parents needed: You will serve hot cocoa and chocolate donuts on the train and to help out at the Polar Express stops! You will need to wear holiday gear or pajamas while on the train. Don’t forget a tray and an apron!! Each classroom could use 3-4 hot cocoa parents. Polar Express Day is Tuesday, December 19. We will participate in rotations from 8:00-9:30. Please let me know if you are available to help!
Holiday Parent Performance is Wednesday, December 20 at 10:00am in the MPR. Please join us as we sing Holiday song for you. Please see this note from Mrs. Morton-
Dear Temple Heights Families, We have had an increase in head lice cases here at Temple Heights. We are sharing this information so that you may take steps to help prevent your child from head lice. While direct head-to-head contact is the usual form of transmission, please encourage your child not to share any personal items such as hats, hair accessories, or combs. Check your child’s head weekly for lice and/or nits. If you find head lice on your child, please treat them before sending them back to school. Feel free to contact our health tech [email protected] with any questions you may have. Thank you, Mrs. Morton Girls on the Run is hosting a nacho fundraiser this Friday to raise funds for materials to make hygiene/winter packs for the homeless.
