What a spectacular and historical day! We enjoyed watching the Solar Eclipse on the NASA live stream. Having visited the Kennedy Space Center this summer, I had lots of photos to share with the kids and we are all space happy. My class was indoors for the duration of the eclipse and did not get the view it outside. The school maintained a rainy day schedule to keep those precious eyes out of the sun.
This week I sent home the BOOK BAGS. These MUST be returned tomorrow. The kids will have them in their backpacks all week because we will use them both at school and at home daily. These books are NOT replaceable. Please be very careful with them. We will have homework folders coming home starting next Monday. Please send in a folder for your child by this Friday. Our focus this week: Reading: sequence of events, compare and contrast Spelling words: cat, sat, mat, rat, *go, *the, *on Writing: giving details Math: understanding addition - wholes, parts, addends Comments are closed.
